Schools Week magazine has announced its first two interviewees for the Meet the Leader Theatre at this year’s Inspiring Leadership Conference: Sufian Sadiq, Director of Talent and Teaching School at Chiltern Learning Trust, and Amanda Spielman, formerly HM Chief Inspector of Education.

Following its popular launch last year, the Meet the Leader Theatre sees Schools Week journalists conduct thought provoking interviews with influential education sector figures on a range of topical issues across the two days.

Sufian Sadiq is Director of Talent and Teaching School at Chiltern Learning Trust, one of the UK’s largest providers of CPD to the education sector. A passionate activist within the educational landscape around race, equity and inclusion, he has extensive experience in managing teaching teams, teacher development programmes, curriculum design and the delivery of large scale multidimensional projects.

Amanda Spielman served as His Majesty's Chief Inspector from 2017 to 2023. Prior to this, she was the Chair of qualifications and assessment regulator, Ofqual. A founding member of multi-academy trust, Ark Schools, she served as the charity's research and policy director and its education adviser for over 11 years.
