Amy Husband
Amy Husband is the Executive Head at Academy21. Amy’s passion for psychology sparked an interest in child development from an early age. After enjoying her classroom teaching career, she has worked across several leadership teams in both Primary and Secondary settings, with MAT-wide responsibility for Safeguarding, Inclusion and School Improvement. As our Head of School Academic, Amy brings a wealth of experience from her time as a Head Teacher since 2016. Amy was awarded ‘Evidence Lead in Education (ELE) status in 2020, meaning she consults on and delivers content on behalf of the Department for Education and the Education Endowment Foundation. Amy also holds the NPQEL qualification since April 2025, further strengthening her strategic leadership management.
Her passion for academic excellence, combined with her depth of expertise in alternative provision and SEND means that she is committed to ensuring all our pupils at Academy 21 thrive in an online environment that is designed to meet their wide range of additional needs, whilst providing them with an ambitious and rigorous curriculum. Amy leads our fantastic teaching team, working alongside middle leaders and all curriculum departments to ensure we embrace the most innovative technology to deliver high quality curricula. At Academy 21, Amy is proud to work with dedicated and talented teachers and leads their Professional Learning pathway to ensure our provision offers industry-leading pedagogy and inclusion, giving our pupils a solid foundation to build their confidence, self-belief and academic success.
